Ekotto’s rash challenge on Evra in conceding the first penalty which allowed United to take the lead.
Nani’s delicate finish over Gomes,What a goal.
And i have not got a clue what Palacios was thinking.I enjoyed the first half as i thought we were holding our own and then it happend, Spurs cave it to United, Ledley King brought the game level with 20 min of the first penalty. Then the best goal of the match Nani. Then the most stupid thing i have seen in all the years of watching Spurs play as Palacios gave away any chance we may have had.

A Jermain Defoe penalty and a brilliant Gareth Bale goal before half time allowed Spurs to overtake Manchester City in fourth position, while Chelsea captain John Terry saw red after half-time.Terry’s frustration was a reflection of the mood in his team, shortly after the hour mark, when his team were being outplayed.Spurs now have established an advantage over rivals Manchester City and it is all to play for. There will be more twists though. Spurs have to visit Old Trafford next weekend with United needing to win.

19-year-old Danny Rose’s wonder strike set up a dramatic Tottenham derby win.

Moments earlier, Thomas Vermaelen had blocked Roman Pavlyuchenko’s close-range shot and Arsenal’s problems deepened when the Belgian defender limped off to be replaced by Mikael Silvestre.Jermain Defoe did well to hold off Emmanuel Eboue and pick out Bale with a beautifully-weighted through-ball, before stroking it into the bottom corner. Defoe and Pavlyuchenko pushed for a third.Van Persie return after five months out.The Dutch striker forced a fine reflex save from Gomes and the Brazilian then punched clear three successive hanging balls amid a mass of bodies.Better was to come a magnificent stop from Van Persie’s free-kick before turning a Campbell header onto the crossbar. But Gomes was powerless to prevent Arsenal pulling one back with five minutes left as Van Persie fed Theo Walcott to square for Bendtner.

Wembley’s pitch fiasco may not be solved in time for the FA Cup final or England’s vital World Cup friendly against Mexico. The FA are deliberating over whether to spend £90,000 to relay the turf for the 11th time in three years. After Peter Crouch labelled the surface at the £800million national stadium ‘ridiculous’. Following the weekend’s FA Cup semi-finals, Chelsea and Aston Villa players were just as angry as Spurs striker Crouch about a pitch which is rock hard underneath a slippery surface and cuts up quickly.

After surviving all the pressure Spurs had inflicted upon them it was Pompey who broke the deadlock nine minutes into the extra period, and once again an accusing finger could be pointed at the pitch. Dawson slipped attempting to clear a routine free-kick and the ball fell invitingly for Piquionne to slip the simplest of finishes under Gomes. It was cruel on Dawson but Pompey’s joy.Palacios was beaten for pace by Dindane and left Wiley with an easy decision to point to the spot.Boateng slammed home the kick. But i think the bit i will allways remember is the look on his face when he went to get the ball from the net after Crouch’s coal was dis allowed !!!!

Bent taking advantage of slack marking for the opener before slotting home from the spot after Kyle Walker’s handball.Gomes then pulled off TWO spot-kick saves and when Peter Crouch headed in with 20 minutes left, the home crowd feared the worst, with time running out,Bolo Zenden to volley in a real stunner. All i can say to the 3 – 1 Is well done Sunderland
